Hi! My name is Fikile, I am an actress and I was born in Lesotho (a country entirely landlocked by South Africa.) I am proud of my mixed African heritage which includes Kenya, Tanzania, Lesotho and South Africa - thanks Mama and Baba!

I began performing when I was 8 years old when I was cast as the pigeon in Alice in Wonderland - yes there is a pigeon in Alice in Wonderland. Fast forward 7 years and I found myself hosting a very mature current awareness show on Lesotho’s only TV station.

It takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!

After exploring in Amsterdam on a gap year, I obtained a bachelors degree in Film and Video Production from The University of Cape Town, but alas the front of the camera called to me and I moved to Johannesburg to become an actress.

In Johannesburg I joined the cast of Isidingo, a long standing South African TV Soap Opera that, surprise surpise, Trevor Noah also flexed his acting muscle on. I next appeared on a new telenovela, Gold Diggers - not that kind of gold digger! This show explored the life of miners, so literal gold diggers. Then finally, I starred in my own show, It’s Complicated, which ran for two seasons.

I made my move to New York in 2015 when I was offered a full scholarship to attend the esteemed Graduate Acting Program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and thus my American journey began. You can catch me acting alongside Emma Roberts in Amazon’s About Fate. Enjoy!
